Aight, kickin' back to my Xanga. And i'ma start by addressin a piece of complex simplicity.

In today's ever-popular Hip-Hop culture, you hear alot of rap artists talk about women in their songs. But its mostly the same ol' shit. Women are easily bein proclaimed as nothin more than hoes, hoochies, bitches, or wotevr. Strange but true though, girls usually love the rappers that vilify them the most. Now why is this?

Here's a direct quote from Jay-Z - Big Pimpin'

"You know I thug 'em, fuck 'em, love 'em, leave 'em, cause I don't fuckn' need 'em"

Yet, he's coupled up with Beyonce, one of the most desired young women on the face of the planet. Before women question the fellas what it is that a guy really wants from a girl, i think it's alot more appropriate to ask what it is that a girl wants from a guy.

The portrayal of women in Hip-Hop videos is also an interesting topic. Most of these images of women offer to us nothin but half-naked eye-candy. And this ain't jus the "video-hoes" but the female rap artists themselves such as Lil' Kim and Foxy Brown. Yeh yeh, i hear ya'll thinkin "but those two are nothin' much more than MTV skanks anyways"

On the other hand, nobody really comes out with negative comments when someone like LL Cool J makes his "Paradise" video into a 4 minute advertisement about his steel-chizzled abs.

Today, you'd think young women would be enforcing their near-equality of female-empowerment, but instead, you see this kinda shit. And it ain't jus in the Hip-Hop industry. Walk down the street and take a look at how girls dress nowdays.

So instead of girls givin us guys shit bout disrespectin them and makin them out to be nothin more than objects of sex, maybe its the women who put this out on themselves.

If a girl is happy bein a ho, then go ahead and be a ho. Don't complain bout bein called a skank, coz nobody's forcin you to show your ass.

A ho is treated like a ho, a bitch is treated like a bitch... and a lady is treated like a lady...
